Day 01: Guwahati: Welcome ceremony, Brahmaputra river cruise
You are received at Guwahati and transferred to your hotel. . Rest of the
day at your discretion to explore this gateway city to Northeast India and
the riverfront of mighty Brahmaputra River. In the evening set out on a
River cruise to watch the sun go down the river and see yourself why the
river is locally called 'Luit'- colour of blood.
Day 02: Kaziranga: Baishnavite Monastery, National Park.
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Bardoa 'Satra'(140km) (Baishnavite
monastery), Birthplace of his holiness 'Shankardeva'. After lunch at Nagaon
drive on to Kaziranga(100km). On arrival check into tourist Lodge at
Kaziranga National Park. Overnight at Kaziranga
Day 03: Kaziranga: Kaziranga: Elephant Safari, Rhino.
Early morning explore central area of Kaziranga National park on an
elephant safari. Ride an Elephant through the park chasing a unicorn rhino
along with a wide range of rare species. After lunch again take jeep safari
to the central area of the park. Rest of the day at leisure to explore
nature. Overnight at tourist Lodge.
Day 04: Majuli: Nature
Trail, Island.
Early morning wake up to go on a nature trail. Return to lodge for
breakfast. After breakfast you will drive to Majuli(130km from Kaziranga)
the biggest river island in the world and seat of Baishnavite culture
enroute crossing mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry. Overnight at Majuli.
Day 05:
Explore Majuli. Overnight at Majuli
Day 06: Sivsagar: Ranghar, Tolatol.
Early in the morning we will depart for Sivsagar, the ancient capital of
ahom kingdom (1699-1788). Taking a brief rest after lunch, visit Ranghar the
Capital and military station of Ahom Kings, then we visit the Tolatol Ghar a
seven storied building- Four above and Three Below the ground. The other
significant archaeological remains in Sivsagar are Shiva Doul, Vishnu Doul
and the Tombs of Ahom Kings and Queens in Charaideo Hillock. Overnight stay
at Sivsagar.
Day 07: Dibrugarh:
Drive to Dibrugarh after breakfast.Visit a tea garden and admire the
lifestyle of adivasis in the tea estate. You will be accommodated in a host
bunglow inside the garden. Evening enjoy the night falling with spring
scent. Overnight stay at bunglow in Dibrugarh.
Day 08: Digboi: Scenic drive through the Tea Estates, Oil Refinery.
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Digboi, Oldest operating and the
second oldest oil field in the world. On arrival you will accommodated in a
Bunglow. In the evening drive down through the small hillocks and enjoy the
silence in the living presence. Overnight stay at Digboi.
Day 09: Digboi: Oil Well:
After leisurely breakfast we will reach the Digboi Oil Field which is not
just an Oil Field but an Oil Museum and a wild life sanctuary dotted with
numerous green hills. The worlds oldest operating Oil Machinery of Digboi is
still producing in excess of its capacity and hence the name of Digboi is
the "Oil City of Assam". In the evening you have your own trip
down the meandering roads. Overnight stay in the Bunglow.
Day 10: Depart:
Return to Dibrugarh to take your onward flight.
